5 roster moves the Cleveland Cavaliers need to make this offseason

Atlanta Hawks, Delon Wright is going to market. He had such a good season for the Hawks, especially defensively, and his services are going to be in high demand.</p> <p>Wright is a player who is willing to sacrifice his game for the good of the team. His ability to fit into what is required makes him a tremendous addition anywhere in the league. The Cavaliers could use his services on both ends of the court.</p> <p>Defensively, Wright showed how locked in he was by helping make the Hawks’ second unit one of the best last season, despite not averaging huge numbers himself. His numbers the previous season on the offensive end for the <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/04/moves-cleveland-cavaliers-offseason/2/"https://hoopshabit.com/western-conference/sacramento-kings/">Sacramento Kings showed what he can do at that end of the floor.</p> <p>The Cavaliers were still a difficult team to beat without Rubio on the floor thanks to the defense and playmaking. This is where Wright will be able to emulate Rubio’s production. However, he has not had the same level of production that he displayed during his time with the Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets prior to that.</p> <p>Part of the reason for this is the level of depth and also the game style of the Cavaliers. They have a front line of Allen, Lauri Markkanen, and Evan Mobley which they deployed with great success when they were all able to take the court.</p> <p>Given that LeVert only played 19 games for the maroon and gold, the fact that he was able to develop the chemistry with his teammates that he did is impressive. The Cavaliers will look to use him off the bench next season.</p> <p>The only spanner in the works here is that Sexton is out of contract. The Cavaliers will want to sign him but the insurance of extending LeVert gives them a starting-caliber guard for the next few years.
