NBA Trades: 3-team trade lands Myles Turner on Los Angeles Lakers: Why the Pacers do it
The Indiana Pacers are building one of the more intriguing young cores in the NBA. It all starts with point guard Tyrese Haliburton, but past that, they also have guys like Bennedict Mathurin, Chris Duarte, and Isaiah Jackson.
Reports have indicated that they want to see how Turner plays alongside Haliburton, but if this deal comes across their plate, then they need to act on it.
As for Brogdon, he’s as good as gone. Rumors have been saying that he’s on his way out in Indiana, and it would be a shocker if he’s on the roster to start next year.
Kyle Kuzma is a quality player who would be able to elevate the Pacers’ frontcourt alongside (probably) Jackson. It’s unknown whether or not he’ll be traded, but this would be a great addition for the Pacers.
Indiana would also get to take a chance on Horton-Tucker. He’s shown flashes of raw talent but hasn’t been able to put it all together. The young wing would have a lot more freedom to grow with the Pacers.
Lastly, the picks they would be receiving would be very helpful, too. Though the Pacers could start to compete sooner rather than later, having extra picks is always useful for a young, up-and-coming team.

Los Angeles Lakers</a> struggled to do much of anything last season. They missed the Play-In entirely and are now left with the scraps of their failed experiment.</p>
<p>In order to get back to a place of contention, they will need to add some serious help. But since they have little to no money to spend, the best way for them to do that will be via the trade market.</p>
<p>Again, though, they don’t have many assets to work with. If they want to add pieces that will make them a contending team, they are going to have to get creative, and that’s exactly what this three-team trade would do.</p>
<h2>NBA Trades: 3-team trade lands Myles Turner on Los Angeles Lakers</h2>
<p><strong>Lakers receive:</strong> Myles Turner</p>
<p><strong>Pacers receive:</strong> Kyle Kuzma, Talen-Horton Tucker, 2025 1st-Round Pick (Lottery Protected via WAS), 2027 1st-Round Pick (Lottery Protected via LAL)</p>
<p><strong>Wizards receive:</strong> Malcolm Brogdon, Kendrick Nunn</p>
<p>Starting off with the Lakers’ point of view, this deal should be a no-brainer for them. It would land them a starting center to pair with Anthony Davis in the frontcourt moving forward.</p>
<p>Myles Turner’s defensive presence down low would pair beautifully with Davis’, and his three-point shooting would make life much easier for the Lakers on offense.</p>
<p>They’d be giving up Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and a future first-round pick in this deal, but if they want to compete for another title with LeBron James, that’s just the cost of doing business.</p>
<p>Los Angeles has been hesitant to part ways with their future picks, but at some point they’re going to have to accept the inevitable and make the sacrifice.</p>

<h2>NBA Trades: 3-team trade lands Myles Turner on Los Angeles Lakers: Why the Wizards do it</h2>
<p>Washington’s main focus this summer will be putting a competent team around star guard Bradley Beal. He just inked a massive contract extension that will keep him in Washington for the long run.</p>
<p>One of their primary goals so far this offseason has been to put a quality point guard alongside Beal. Brogdon would be a great option to take on that task.</p>
<p>Brogdon is a steady hand and a calming veteran presence on the floor. Outside of a down year this past season, he’s always been a consistent three-point shooter and above-average playmaker, as well as a plus defender.</p>
<p>The Wizards would also get a nice backup guard in Kendrick Nunn in this deal. In fact, this trade may even give them too much guard depth, but guys like Johnny Davis and Delon Wright can play the two as well.</p>
<p>Giving Kuzma would definitely hurt their scoring a bit, but they have plenty of frontcourt depth to make up for the loss. Players like Deni Avdija, Rui Hachimura, and Corey Kispert could get more minutes.</p>
<p>This deal would give Washington even more depth at the guard position, as they’ve begun to put together a sneakily solid team around Beal for next year.</p>
