The Miami Heat were eliminated in the Eastern Conference Finals by the Boston Celtics. And while that marks a successful season, the Heat are undoubtedly disappointed that they did not meet their goal of a championship.
In turn, the team will likely be looking to make some moves this summer. Unfortunately, since they won’t have any money to spend, the trade market will be their best pathway to improvement.
Duncan Robinson is the easiest trade candidate to single out, but with how poorly he played this past year, his value is in the dirt. That leaves Tyler Herro.
What NBA Trades are out there for Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat?
Considering he wants to be a starter, trading him now could be a good idea for the franchise. Pat Riley made it clear that if Herro wants to be a part of the starting lineup, he’ll have to earn it.
While this doesn’t necessarily mean anything, there’s no guarantee that Herro willingly accepts a bench role again if the team doesn’t feel as though he’s earned the right to be a starter.
If that’s the case, then trading him would be one of their only options. Plus, if they can get a better win-now option for Herro and avoid having to pay him, that might be a better plan than handing him a giant contract.
Herro will likely be looking for close to max money, and considering how clogged the Heat’s financial situation is, adding another massive deal to the books could put them in hot water.
With that in mind, here are two potential Herro trades for the Heat to consider this summer.

<h2>NBA Trades: 3 Tyler Herro trades to help the Miami Heat: Washington Wizards</h2>
<p><strong>Heat receive:</strong> Bradley Beal</p>
<p><strong>Wizards receive:</strong> Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, PJ Tucker, 2024 1st-Round Pick (Lottery Protected), 2026 1st-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)</p>
<p>This trade would see the Miami Heat a deadly scoring threat alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, while the <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/14/nba-trades-miami-heat-tyler-herro/"https://hoopshabit.com/eastern-conference/washington-wizards/">Washington Wizards would kickstart a rebuild.</p>
<p>Now, it’s important to note that Beal has expressed the desire to remain in Washington for the remainder of his career. However, if the Wizards feel as though it’s time to move on, this could be a potential option.</p>
<p>Adding Tyler Herro to the mix would give them a core of him, Deni Avdija, Rui Hachimura, and the 10th-overall pick in the upcoming draft. That’s not a bad start at all.</p>
<p>Taking on the Duncan Robinson contract would definitely sting, but if he works his way back into form and recoups his value, they could flip him in a year or two.</p>
<p>Lastly, PJ Tucker needs to be included in this deal in order to match salaries, but with how well he’s played on both ends in recent years, they could probably flip him immediately.</p>
<p>For Miami, Beal would act as their primary scorer. He’s proven himself to be one of the best in the business at scoring the basketball, and Miami would provide him with an environment to thrive, while also having plenty of defensive help behind him.</p>

<h2>NBA Trades: 3 Tyler Herro trades to help the Miami Heat improve: Utah Jazz</h2>
<p><strong>Heat receive:</strong> Donovan Mitchell</p>
<p><strong>Jazz receive:</strong> Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, 2024 1st-Round Pick, 2026 1st-Round Pick (Top-20 Protected)</p>
<p>This is easily the most obvious trade that could be made. Donovan Mitchell has been linked to the Heat constantly, and if he were to get trades, Tyler Herro would absolutely be involved.</p>
<p>Mitchell would give the Heat the second star that they so clearly need, and while Herro could eventually turn into that player, Mitchell is better suited to help them win now.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/14/nba-trades-miami-heat-tyler-herro/"https://hoopshabit.com/western-conference/utah-jazz/">Utah Jazz would be resetting their roster while still remaining competitive. Herro is still only 22 years old, and given enough time, could turn into a perennial All-Star.</p>
<p>The Heat would probably want to keep Max Strus in this trade, but with Danny Ainge at the helm, Utah will probably demand he be included, as he’s turned into an elite three-point shooter. Andi if you’re the Heat, you can’t let Strus get in the way of landing Mitchell.</p>
<p>And while the Jazz would have to take on Duncan Robinson’s contract, if he can turn things around and become a 40% three-point shooter again, that deal won’t look so bad.</p>
<p>Utah would be retooling their franchise (with Rudy Gobert will on the roster, most likely), while the Heat would add a new star to the mix to help them compete for a title.</p>
