The LA Clippers had a season that was riddled with injuries to key players. Kawhi Leonard missed the entire season with a knee injury that he suffered in the previous playoffs. On top of that, Paul George only played 31 games, and yet, the Clippers still managed to finish in the eighth seed, losing in the Play-In Tournament.

The Clippers rallied together as a team and continued to play at a higher level than expected. This means that if they can get back their two stars for next season, they have a good chance of contending for the championship.

To this end, they re-signed Robert Covington, extending his deal for another two years. Covington adds another level of defense to a Clippers team bursting with quality wing defenders. His ability to take the pressure off Leonard and George on the defensive end of the court. This has the impact of making them even more dangerous on offense.

5 roster moves the LA Clippers need to make this offseason: 1. Re-sign Amir Coffey

The Clippers managed to find a high level of production for an incredibly low price with Amir Coffey. The shooting guard was signed to a two-way contract which the Clippers converted to a minimum salary deal at the end of March.

Coffey played 69 games, starting 30 of them. He averaged 9.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 22.7 minutes per game. These are incredible numbers for a player who collected roughly $150,000 this past season. Offering Coffey a minimum deal would ensure the Clippers have a solid rotation piece return despite their salary cap pressure.
