The Memphis Grizzlies had an amazing season this past year. They finished as the second seed in the Western Conference and made the second round of the playoffs, before losing to the eventual champions.

Ja Morant emerged as a top-15 player in the NBA, Jaren Jackson Jr. received serious consideration for Defensive Player of the Year, and Taylor Jenkins proved that he’s one of the best coaches in the league.

But they are in a very interesting position now. Memphis could very well run it back, and that could end up being the smartest decision. But they could also make a splash.

The Grizzlies have the cap space and the contracts to make a blockbuster trade happen, so let’s ponder that idea. Here are three wild NBA trades to potentially help the Grizzlies.

NBA Trades: 3 Memphis Grizzlies trades that would shock the NBA: Phoenix Suns

Grizzlies receive: Deandre Ayton

Suns receive: Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, 2023 1st-Round Pick (Top-10 Protected), 2025 1st-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)

This trade would certainly be a massive shock to the league. It’s looking more and more like Ayton will sign an offer sheet with the Pacers, but in this trade, he’d land with the Grizzlies.

Ayton and Jackson Jr. would be a nice combo up front, with Ayton handling most of the traditional center duties while Jackson Jr. roams free on the defensive end.

The two of them, alongside Ja Morant, would create one of the most promising Big 3s in the league, and in a new situation, Ayton may finally be able to shine even more.

For the Suns, this deal would land them a new center, a solid two-way wing to help out on both ends, and two first-round picks in exchange for their young big man.
