Being on social media can be tough for an Orlando Magic fan. There’s always something to poke fun at regarding the state of the franchise, and as a small market team, they are overlooked by basically everybody (except Zach Lowe, much respect to him). They have to be bordering on contention before anybody will take any notice.

But to those few who have noticed, they see that things are slowly changing. The previous rebuild may have failed, but Cole Anthony, Markelle Fultz, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, Jonathan Isaac, and Chuma Okeke is a pretty good place to start over. There’s also a likely top-three pick coming in this year’s draft, and potentially a first from the Chicago Bulls as well.

Not that any of this seems to matter to fans of basically any other franchise, who see the Magic as the little brother they can beat up on right now.

In fairness, that is because they are. With a record of 9-40, many of the games have been a tough slog this year. Oftentimes a promising first half, or even three quarters, gives way to an eventual loss.

It is why even the small victories need to be celebrated, but we must also remember that adding another high lottery pick and youth development is the point of this season.

Yet some fanbases seem to have a go at the Magic more than others. Then there are those that are annoying, simply because of the shared past that exists between the two.

Either way, it feels like the 2021-22 season is one that will be remembered for days-long spats with opposition fans (and people working for the teams) in ways we haven’t quite seen before.

Without further ado, here are the three worst fanbases for an Orlando Magic fan to interact with online.
