This trade would help both teams commit to very different directions. While the Sacramento Kings would prioritize win-now players, the San Antonio Spurs would be adding some more youth.
Josh Richardson had a very productive season last year. He shot 41.5% from behind the three-point line and continued to be the above-average defender he’s been throughout the course of his entire career.
Meanwhile, in his first season with the Spurs, Doug McDermott continued to shoot the ball at a very high clip. He shot the three-ball at 42.2% on the season.
Sacramento would be getting two quality wing players in this deal, both of whom could help space the floor for De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. Richardson would be a plus on the defensive end, and McDermott would be a massive help on offense.
San Antonio would be getting a solid haul as well. Not only would they be getting the chance to draft Jaden Ivey, Keegan Murray, Shaedon Sharpe, or another top prospect, but they’d also snag Donte DiVincenzo.
The young guard is reportedly unhappy with the Kings, as he believes they attempted to lower his value toward the end of the season. He’d get a chance at a fresh start with the Spurs while simultaneously forming a lethal defensive backcourt duo with Dejounte Murray.
Sacramento Kings are <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/04/nba-trades-sacramento-kings-4th-pick/2/"https://hoopshabit.com/2022/05/23/report-sacramento-kings-trade-pick/">reportedly exploring the idea of trading the fourth-overall pick</a> in the 2022 NBA Draft, according to <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/04/nba-trades-sacramento-kings-4th-pick/2/"https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10036369-nba-draft-buzz-insiders-explain-why-chet-holmgren-makes-sense-at-no-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report</a>.</p>
<p>Fischer noted that they are either looking to add a quality rotational piece and move back in the draft or trade out of the draft entirely in exchange for a high-level veteran.</p>
<p>There will undoubtedly be plenty of suitors ringing Sacramento’s phones on draft night, as they hold the keys to the remainder of the draft after Jabari Smith Jr., Chet Holmgren, and Paolo Banchero.</p>
<p>So, if the Kings do end up making a deal to trade the fourth pick, what trades should be toward the top of their list of potential options?</p>
<h2>NBA Trades: 3 trades for the Sacramento Kings with the 4th pick: Washington Wizards</h2>
<p><strong>Kings receive:</strong> Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, #10 Pick</p>
<p><strong>Wizards receive:</strong> #4 Pick</p>
<p>This deal fits the bill of exactly what the Sacramento Kings will be looking to accomplish, according to Fischer’s reports. They’d move back a few spots while adding a quality veteran in the process.</p>
<p>Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is an extremely reliable 3&D wing. Inserting him into the Kings’ lineup would take pressure off of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis on both ends of the court.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the <a href=https://hoopshabit.com/2022/06/04/nba-trades-sacramento-kings-4th-pick/2/"https://hoopshabit.com/eastern-conference/washington-wizards/">Washington Wizards would begin preparing for the future. With Bradley Beal’s status with the team in question, adding a young prospect could be a great move.</p>
<p>At the same time, though, Washington could potentially target Jaden Ivey to play alongside Beal as the starting point guard on a lower-level playoff team.</p>

Detroit Pistons, this deal would see them pick at fourth and fifth overall in the upcoming draft. That would allow them to add a couple of great young pieces to their core.</p>
<p>Just imagine a combination of two of Jaden Ivey, Keegan Murray, Shaedon Sharpe, Bennedict Mathurin, and/or AJ Griffin next to Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, and Isaiah Stewart.</p>
<p>The Kings would be able to effectively compete for a playoff spot while the Pistons would continue their rebuild by adding two top prospects. A true win-win trade.</p>
