The Sacramento Kings are reportedly exploring the idea of trading the fourth-overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

Fischer noted that they are either looking to add a quality rotational piece and move back in the draft or trade out of the draft entirely in exchange for a high-level veteran.

There will undoubtedly be plenty of suitors ringing Sacramento’s phones on draft night, as they hold the keys to the remainder of the draft after Jabari Smith Jr., Chet Holmgren, and Paolo Banchero.

So, if the Kings do end up making a deal to trade the fourth pick, what trades should be toward the top of their list of potential options?

NBA Trades: 3 trades for the Sacramento Kings with the 4th pick: Washington Wizards

Kings receive: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, #10 Pick

Wizards receive: #4 Pick

This deal fits the bill of exactly what the Sacramento Kings will be looking to accomplish, according to Fischer’s reports. They’d move back a few spots while adding a quality veteran in the process.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is an extremely reliable 3&D wing. Inserting him into the Kings’ lineup would take pressure off of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis on both ends of the court.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards would begin preparing for the future. With Bradley Beal’s status with the team in question, adding a young prospect could be a great move.

At the same time, though, Washington could potentially target Jaden Ivey to play alongside Beal as the starting point guard on a lower-level playoff team.
