The Utah Jazz were the best regular-season team back in 2020-21. They had Jordan Clarkson win their first-ever Sixth Man of the Year award and the pairing of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert was difficult to stop. Part of the reason for that was that Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles were incredible from beyond the three-point line, so their spacing was amazing.

However, the rest of the NBA caught up with the Jazz over the offseason, and while they were still a playoff team, they were nowhere near as strong. As such, they finished fifth in the Western Conference standings and there has been a multitude of rumors that they are going to rebuild around Mitchell.

They are going to have to finish this process without their long-term head coach Quin Snyder, who decided to step down after the playoffs. This is going to be an interesting offseason for the Jazz and they are going to have to make some solid moves to move their way back up the standings.

5 roster moves the Utah Jazz need to make this offseason: 1. Pick up Udoka Azubuike’s team option

After finishing two seasons with the Jazz, Udoka Azubuike has not developed into quite the player that the Jazz would have wanted. However, with that being said, he is a reasonably solid backup to the Stifle Tower, Rudy Gobert. As such, he is a developing player who could do greater things under a different coach.

He averaged 4.7 points and 4.2 rebounds on 75.5 percent shooting. This points to a player who knows his role and was able to execute it when he was on the court. His team option is worth $2.1 million next season and this gives the Jazz some flexibility.
