The 2022 NBA Draft was an event filled with excitement for the NBA, as teams gathered their staff to welcome their newest additions to the roster. Excitement for the upcoming season grew with each selection.

While fans watched some of college best athletes’ dreams come true, analysts were busy evaluating first-round picks. With such a talented draft class, I believe a few teams slept well after their decisions.

But which three picks were the best selections in a draft class full of talented players?

The Portland Trail Blazers took the clock with the seventh-overall pick. They selected Shaeden Sharpe – a dynamic shot-maker from the University of Kentucky. Limited footage almost hindered Sharpe’s opportunity, but his reputation as an offensive weapon represented him well among NBA scouts. HIs dynamic shot creation is something the Blazers can look forward to.

Finding a replacement for C.J McCollum will help the Trailblazers stay relevant in the Western Conference, and adding Jerami Grant should further help Damian Lillard achieve success in the future. If the team grooms their newest draft pick, they could see the fruits of their labor next season.
