The Los Angeles Lakers will be attempting to reshape their roster heading into next season. So far this offseason, they’ve done a solid job of that, filling the team with some decent depth.

Los Angeles has signed players like Lonnie Walker IV, Thomas Bryant, Damian Jones, and Juan Toscano-Anderson. However, while that’s definitely a good start, there’s still room for more improvement.

Unless players on the free-agent market sign for minimum deals, the Lakers will have to attack the trade market. And the primary trade asset they have to work with is Talen Horton-Tucker.

Horton-Tucker is only 21 years old, and while he has struggled to figure things out consistently, there’s still plenty of potential there. Here are three NBA trades involving Horton-Tucker that would help the Lakers.

NBA Trades: 3 Talen Horton-Tucker trades to help the Los Angeles Lakers: Detroit Pistons

Lakers receive: Kelly Olynyk

Pistons receive: Talen Horton-Tucker, 2023 2nd-Round Pick

This trade may not seem enticing for Lakers fans, and that’s because it’s not very flashy. Olynyk is a very bland name, but he would most definitely contribute to winning basketball in LA.

He’s more of a center, but his above-average playmaking and ability to space the floor would allow him to share the floor with Bryant, Jones, and Anthony Davis.

For the Pistons, their trade for Nerlens Noel means that they have solid big man depth on the roster. Trading Olynyk for a young project player and a second-rounder would make a lot of sense for them.
