The Golden State Warriors had a bounce-back season behind their team leader Stephen Curry who led the NBA in scoring. Unfortunately for the team, they were a second season without the other Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, after he suffered another leg injury prior to the season starting.

The Warriors tried to replace him in a small way with Kelly Oubre jr who really struggled to fit into the offense. However, as he grew more comfortable, the Warriors were able to rise up the standings, eventually losing in the play-in tournament.

For the second year running, they were well placed in the draft. They selected James Wiseman with the second pick in the 2020 NBA draft. In the 2021 draft, they selected Jonathan Kuminga with the seventh pick and Moses Moody with the 14th pick. Now, let’s delve into their free agency signings.

Golden State Warriors free agency signing No. 1: Nemanja Bjelica

In his six seasons in the league, Nemanja Bjelica has had three different homes. Now that he has signed with the Warriors he is going to have his fourth home. The 6’10” power forward should fit well into the Warriors system given that he is a very good 3-point shooter.

During his career, Bjelica has been used as a floor spacer on offense. He has taken 3.0 of the 6.4 shot attempts that he has attempted have been from behind the 3-point line. The best part for the Warriors is that he can make them He is a career 38.7 percent shooter from distance.
