Here we are, in the middle of offseason acquisitions, trade rumors, and debates. One of the most underrated maneuvers of the annual roster realignment has been the Chicago Bulls’ acquisition of center Andre Drummond.

Over the years, Drummond has proven to be a reliable big man whose bruising style can bolster any team’s interior presence. His play should be a nice addition to a team that is already headed in the right direction.

Last season, the Bulls returned to the postseason for the first time in five years. Having just re-signed All-Star guard Zach LaVine to a max extension, expectations in The Windy City are as high as they have been since The Rose Era. LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vučević are a formidable Big 3, and head coach Billy Donovan is a proven leader.

Andre Drummond is a proven commodity in the NBA. He is an elite rebounder whose toughness and defense will be an asset to the Chicago Bulls.

In addition to their trio of All-Stars, fans in Chicago can also look forward to healthy seasons from Patrick Williams, Alex Caruso, and Lonzo Ball, all of whom were hampered by injury in one way or another last year.

The continued development of Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White means that Chicago’s backcourt will be solid even when the starters take a breather. With that being said, let’s take a closer look at the ways in which Andre Drummond will help the Bulls maximize their potential this upcoming season.
